OFF DORF/EDIT COMICS illustrations and comics exhibition opening @20:00h
For the first time in Cres, comics and illustrations exhibition by masters of croatian comics scene – Dubravko Mataković and Krešimir Zimonić. RARE association started a platform and numerous educational activities and one of them is this exhibition of comics and illustrations which were created by Zimonić and Mataković for elementary school publications, books, etc. – from Modra Lasta to Smib and OK! magazine. Exhibition visited more than ten elementary schools through-out Croatia and we are looking forward seeing their art on Cres streets.

An honour to open tenth DORF edition has went to film about Daft Punk, in BBC production. Why? Because we think that DAFT PUNK manage to connect past and future of the music in very rare and interesting way, keeping their faces hidden and their bussines moves showed us that they know how to maneuver and reach their final goal. Also, because we are sure that Summer cinema on beatiful Cres island will be fantastic location to see this film. I – because we are sure that you will enjoy the music and film about life and career of duo which is already now part of Pop culture history. Croatian premiere.

OFF DORF/NT Wave @23:00h
Guitarist and producer NT Wave has collaborated on quality music projects that explore different genres – fusion (Con Fusion), future jazz (Kontrapunkt), etno electro (LessThanAMinute), electro live (Tobogan), dnb (Generation81), etc. He is a member of electro performers team Beat Busters Crew that use unusual objects and electronic devices to make music. With pedals and devices set in his shoes, he makes music that overflows from open wide stereo ambientals to the narrow defined dance grooves with mantric elements. With a present of good audience, the concert always turns into party.

OFF DORF/Book promotion: Encyclopedia of Ex-Yugoslavian duos @20:00h
Encyclopedia of Ex-Yugoslavian duos was published in early 2016. by Association for obvious things from Murska Sobota, Slovenia. It is written by our guest – Dragan Vuković – and in this one-of-a-kind encyclopedia he mentions 113 ex-Yu duo bands in the period from 1982. till today.
Fanzine frontcover EXHIBITION – for this occasion Dragan will bring one of a kind exhibition where you can see how did the frontpages of fanzines look like. The exhibition aims to restore the memory of a unique DIY music magazines and influence re-development and production of the same. The exhibition has so far been set up in Skopje, Nova Gorica, Murska Sobota and Banja Luka..

The avant-garde music and multimedia collective known, as The Residents has never revealed the identity of its members, always appearing in costume in extravagant live musical performances and filmed projects. Don Hardy’s fast-paced documentary tells the story of the group’s start in rural North Louisiana, their artistic awakening in late-‘60s San Francisco and follows them to the present day where they are still going strong creating and performing.

Rijeka’s finest, David Blažević also known as Gdin. Smeđi Šećer (Mr. Brown Sugar) – equally passionate to collect and play rare vinyl records from ex-Yugoslavia as well as all the records that he finds interesting. Primarily he is focused on forgotten disco hits, soul and funk music in the period of ’60s and ’70s. He is an active member of Croatian Funk Delegation and is currently enjoying Istria. Be sure to check his Kitchen of Organic sounds after reading this and put on your best dancing shoes because this is our closing event in Cres this year..
