13.DORF edition closed on Saturday 24.8. in the lapidary of the Vinkovci City Museum, in the center of Vinkovci. Last DORF week, visitors watched a total of 13 screenings of music documentaries from Croatia, Slovenia, Serbia, USA, Canada, Great Britain and Kazakhstan, with guest appearances by the author and the accompanying OFF DORF program (book promotion, DJ performance, one-man show, photo exhibition 8 Croatian and 1 world premieres were held.

The jury consisting of Miroslav Sikavica, Marina Paulenka and Matej Meštrović decided to award the prize for the best film in the regional competition to the film “Passengers”, by Tina Šimurina (Croatia).

Matej Meštrović presented the unique award to the author of the film.

Especially the DORF 2019 jury award went to the film “Times Of Great Depression”, authored by Vladimir Gojun (Croatia). Due to official obligations, the author could not receive the award in Vinkovci and addressed the audience with a video message.

This year’s DORF Lifetime Achievement Award went to director Slobodan Šijan, and the award for contribution to the underground went to musician Antonija Pušić, better known as Rambo Amadeus. Rambo Amadeus will receive the award in October, due to obligations he could not come now, but on arrival he will plant a DORF tree in Vinkovci in order to encourage afforestation and draw attention to the lack of greenery.

Also, the Lifetime Achievement Award 2018 was presented to translator Voja Šindolić, who could not receive it last year due to health reasons.

The awards were presented to Slobodan Šijan and Voja Šindolić by Toni Šarić, artistic director and founder of the DORF Festival.

The author of all 3 awards this year is the great sculptor Miro Župa from Split.

We remind you that the 13th DORF visual identity is the work of Martin Peranović, from Otok.

The DORF 2019 festival was held under the auspices of the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the City of Vinkovci and the Vukovar-Srijem County.

The partner of the festival was the City Museum of Vinkovci.
