13.DORF edition closed on Saturday 24.8. in the lapidary of the Vinkovci City Museum. A special DORF award for contribution to the underground this year went to musician Antonija Pušić, better known as Rambo Amadeus. Due to obligations, the DORF laureate could not come to the festival in August for the award and in agreement with the organizers, the planting of 4 liquidambra trees in Vinkovci was organized on Friday, November 22, 2019. in Slavka Jankovića Street, at 1:30 p.m.

With a symbolic gesture of planting trees, Rambo Amadeus, in cooperation with the Vinkovci Festival, decided to pay additional attention to preserving the environment and encourage others to similar activities that contribute to increasing the quality of life. At this place, the laureates of the DORF Festival will continue planting – in the coming years. The action of planting DORF trees was helped by the City of Vinkovci, Cvjećarstvo d.o.o. and donors.

In the explanation during the award ceremony, the DORF Festival pointed out that the musician, poet and media manipulator began his unique musical career in his hometown of Herceg Novi in ​​1979 in the jazz-punk band “Radioactive Waste”. With his debut album “O tugo jesenja” in 1988, a unique musical adventure under the pseudonym Rambo Amadeus began, which included 15 excellent albums, numerous concerts and collaborations, always original and exciting. An impressive list of ingenious solutions and the high quality of the most diverse forms in which it has been tried all these years, serve as a beacon and signpost for many. The DORF festival would certainly be different if there weren’t so many Rambo Amadeus in our lives. ”

The genius Split sculptor & comic book author Miro Župa was in charge of the unique awards for the laureates at this year’s festival this year as well. We remind you that the 13th DORF visual identity is the work of Martin Peranović, from Otok.

The DORF 2019 festival was held under the auspices of the Croatian Audiovisual Center, the City of Vinkovci and the Vukovar-Srijem County. The partner of the festival was the City Museum of Vinkovci.
